It is a great pleasure and privilege to invite you to participate in the HERItage conference -“The Role of Cultural Heritage in Socio-Economic Development and Preservation of Democratic Values”.
The event is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and the European Commission as part of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and hosted by the University of Rijeka. We are especially excited because Rijeka, one of the largest and the most cosmopolitan city in the country, is concurrently the 2020 European Capital of Culture.
The three-day HERItage conference will focus on research and innovation in the field of the social sciences and the humanities, with particular dedication to the domain of cultural heritage, including the role of digitalization and the importance of education.
The preliminary conference programme, featuring keynote speeches of Étienne Balibar, Danica Kragić Jansfelt and Carlo Blasi, a large number of internationally recognized panellists and speakers, a broad range of plenary thematic panels, of focused topic sessions as well as poster and video presentations is available here.
